The joys of Christmas

On Thursday it was a crazy day. Jordan had an appointment for an MRI in Provo so we headed up at 7:30 in the morning his appointment was at 9:30 the roads were awful we didn't get there till 10:30. We got his MRI done and were going to do a little Christmas shopping but the roads were so bad and Shaylee had a dance recital she had to be to at 5:30 and we didn't want to be pushed for time so we headed home. The roads were a little better coming home. When we got home it was time to go to Shay's recital and as soon as she finished her last dance she had a Christmas music performance at the middle school and me and Shawn had his company Christmas Party in Delta. So we left with just enough time to make it to Delta and Shay went on to the middle school where my mom and dad were there to watch her sing. I'm glad that day is over. Here are some pics of Shay's dance recital. They also had a tumbling performance and she threw her back flip for the first time (kind of hard to get a picture of).

15 years

Shawn and I celebrated our fifteenth wedding anniversary this week. I can't believe that it has been that long. Shawn is my best friend. I herd a saying once about being married is like having a sleepover every night with you best friend I feel like it is that way with Shawn. I am so thankful for such a good husband and dad to our kids. For our anniversary we went to Salt Lake and went to the body exhibit at the Leonardo (yucky but interesting). Then we went to the imax for a movie and after that we went to the roof at the Joseph Smith memorial building for dinner(expensive but very good). Then we spent the night at the anniversary inn in the hay loft. I t was a good time. I love you babe!

I am a child of God

On Saturday Hayen made the choice to become a member of the church. We are so proud of him.

Thriller on main street

For Shay's dance class they learned thriller and then performed on main street the night before Halloween. The pictures I took turned out kind of blurry but it made the girls look like real ghost kind of freaky.

Girls day out

Last Saturday while Shawn and the boys went for a horse ride and to the deer hunting camp me and Shaylee and one of her friends went up north for the day and did some shopping and then went to gardnervillage for the witchapolooza it was fun we went to the dinner and play in the evening Shay and Jamie even got up and danced.

Happy Birthday Hayden

I Can't believe that my baby is eight years old. That is sad. We had a party for him on Friday and on November first he will be Baptized. I love that his birthday is so close to Halloween because we can always do such fun thing's for his party. This year he insisted on having witches brew and I knew nothing about dry ice. Jordan was so amazed at the stuff you could do with it he spent the whole party messing with the drink. Then when everyone was done eating I came in the house to find the kitchen full of steam from him experimenting with the ice. Sometimes I'm amazed that he an I are both still alive after 14 years. When you have a bunch of little kids over for a birthday party and it's the 14 year old that you have to keep an eye on that's bad.

family night

If your house is anything like mine on a Monday after the weekend you spend all day cleaning and don't have much time for making a treat for family night. I found one that is really easy and good. It's just one tube of crescent rolls rolled out on the bottom of greased cookie sheet and the 2 things of cream cheese mixed with 3/4 c sugar and 2 tsp vanilla spread over crescent rolls and another tube of crescent rolls over the top. Then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and bake at 350 for 20 min. serve cold. You could spread a can of cherry pie filling over the top of the cream cheese and that would be even better.

For our activity I enlisted the help of everyone in making Hayden's Birthday invitations. When I went to take the picture Jordan said just a second let me do my classroom pose that is why he has his head down.
